Villa Müller – Former Textile Industrialist Residence
Max Bossard Architects – Feldkirch, Austria
Despite recurring crises over time, Vorarlberg, the westernmost state of Austria, maintained a strong textile industry for more than a century, from the early-mid 19th century until its final decline in the early 1980’s.
Villa Müller was planned and built as a family residence during the last peak of the industry in the mid-1960s. After a four-year vacancy, the villa was generously made available for interim use by the current owners in 2018. Since then, the building has been used for exhibitions, events, concerts, and similar activities.
