Invisible Pole

The Invisible Pole series takes an unconventional approach, flipping the typical narrative of advertising that often showcases professional models with flawless faces and idealized bodies. Instead, this series presents individuals who, while being professional pole dancers, are also just “regular” women.

This reversed approach is further intensified by creating a sculptural feel. Heads, hands, feet, and the dancing pole itself are removed. In addition the missing areas of fabric are replaced, leaving only hollow pieces of fabric floating in an undefined space. The colorful and flashy clothing, lit against a black backdrop, serves as a visual accompaniment, intensifying the impact.
