‘Invisible Pole’ reverses the typical approach in advertising, depicting professional models, beautiful faces & perfect bodies, by photographing individuals who are yet professional pole dancers but “regular” girls at the same time.
Additionally, this reversed approach is intensified by creating a sculptural feel to it. Heads, hands, feet as well as the dancing pole itself are removed, leaving nothing but hollow pieces of fabric, floating in an undefined space.
The colourful and flashy fashion, lit against the black backdrop, is merely a visual accompaniment intensifying the impact.
